Scottish Borders LEADER Programme Coordinator

  • Location: Council Headquarters, Newtown St.Boswells, Melrose, Roxburghshire
  • Salary: £26,177.95 - £28,568.70 per year
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Temporary until 31 December 2020

The LEADER Coordinator will be responsible for developing and managing the delivery of the Scottish Borders LEADER programme. This will involve promoting the programme on behalf of the Local Action Group partners, providing ongoing advice to external project managers, and processing and evaluating project applications.

In addition, the Coordinator will undertake project monitoring and evaluation, organise and undertake projects visits and on-the-spot checks, monitor and report on project and programme expenditure, assist with the submission of Scottish Government reports and arrange and participate in Local Action Group meetings. Clyde and Avon Valley Landscape Partnership - Development Officer

  • Location: New Lanark
  • Fixed term contract up to 31 March 2018 - 21 hours per week
  • Salary level up to £27,270 per annum per annum pro rata

On behalf of the Clyde and Avon Valley Landscape Partnership, the Rural Development Trust [RDT] is now recruiting a Development Officer.

The main objective of the post is to manage the development and delivery of a range of projects supporting the delivery of Landscape Conservation Action Plan [LCAP]. This will involve engaging and liaising with communities in the Partnership area. The Partnership aims to conserve, enhance and celebrate the unique landscape and heritage of the Clyde and Avon Valley.

Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) - Account Manager

  • Location: Lochgilphead
  • Salary: £26,229 - £29,907 per annum

In this key role you will provide account management support to a portfolio of clients on a mainly reactive and transactional basis in order to achieve business growth and impact in the local economy. Support will be mainly through the appraisal of projects which will require to demonstrate a business case for HIE investment. It may be necessary to work across boundaries as required. The role of account managers will/should include an element of sectoral work as it is key to delivering HIE’s objectives through their engagement with clients.

Scotland's Rural College (SRUC) - Trainee Livestock Nutritionist - Beef & Sheep

  • Salary: Depending on experience and qualifications
  • Location: Edinburgh

SRUC are currently looking for an Livestock Nutritionist/Trainee Graduate to work between the SAC Consulting Beef and Sheep Services and SRUC Research Division. The nutritionist will play a key role in training and providing advice to Rural Office staff and crucially in providing advice to farmers via local consultants on the suitability of diets, feeds and processing/treatments.

The role would suit those with Beef and Sheep Research experience and/or a Livestock Nutrition background who wish to use their expertise to work more closely with specialists and consultants advising within the day to day farming sector.

Moray Firth Partnership - Moray Firth Partnership Manager

The Moray Firth Partnership (MFP) promotes integrated coastal zone management (ICZM) and aims to bring together people, resources and information to help make the best, sustainable use of our coast and seas.

They are looking for a self-starter with well-developed skills in company and resource management, experienced in working with other stakeholders across different sectors, with knowledge of marine and coastal management, environmental management or planning issues. The post-holder will have a practical and entrepreneurial attitude, and will be responsible for a wide- ranging, fast-changing and challenging workload.
