Scottish Export Index launched to recognise the best in business
The Scottish Export Index (formally Scottish Export Awards) is returning for the first time since 2018, in recognition of the continued success of Scotland’s exporters on the world stage, which is believed to account for £87.1bn worth of exports globally.
Produced by UMi, along with headline sponsors HSBC and strategic partners Scottish Government and Scotland House London, the Scottish Export Index will recognise the exporting achievements from the 2022 calendar year.
What’s new for the 2022 Index?
This Scottish Export Index will have an underlying focus on sustainability, with a new dedicated award category for ‘Net Zero Exporter’ being introduced. The full list of award categories can be found on their website here, and includes SME Exporter, Large Exporter, New to Export, Emerging Markets Exporter, Food and Drink Exporter and Digital Exporter.
With the Scottish Government looking to increase exports by £25bn by 2029 there is an increased focus on showcasing the leading lights of the Scotland’s vibrant export community. By nominating you will:
- Get recognised for your export commitments and achievements from 2022.
- Join a community of leading exporters, from the Highlands and Islands to the Scottish Borders.
- Celebrate your success with your team, clients, investors, and partners.
- Inspire future and growing exporters, not just in Scotland, but the whole UK as part of the far-reaching campaign.
Nominations will close on Friday 7th April 2023 with judging taking place the following month. It is free to submit your nomination in which ever categories you wish to enter. For more information, visit www.ScottishExportIndex.co.uk
