Scottish Government responds to UK gene editing bill

Environment Minister Mairi McAllan has responded to the UK Government Genetic Technology (Precision Breeding) Bill in a letter to Mr George Eustice MP and Mr Alister Jack MP. You can read it in full here.

The Genetic Technology Bill was introduced in UK Parliament on Wednesday 25th May. The Precision breeding technologies aim to allow UK scientists to develop plant varieties and animals with specific traits.
