SSE's Sustainable Development Fund is currently open for applications in Perth & Kinross and Scottish Borders.

The Sustainable Development Fund supports strategic projects in the regions where SSE is operating. It allows the benefits of the company's renewable energy developments to be accessible to a wider area and is directed to projects that can achieve significant impact in local communities.

The community fund can support projects which:

  • Creating opportunities – increase opportunities for education and employment
  • Empowering communities – build resilience and protect vulnerable residents
  • Building sustainable places – stimulate meaningful community regeneration

Applications are currently open for Perth & Kinross and Scottish Borders. Applications for the Highland area will open in Autumn 2019.

South Lanarkshire will open for applications in Autumn 2020, while Dumfries and Galloway is due to open in 2021.
