As part of the Scottish Government’s consultation process to develop a new Agriculture Bill an online thematic workshop to address Rural Development and Forestry will take place on the 27 October (19:00-21:00).

The Scottish Government is committed to realising a Vision for Agriculture and transforming how farming and food production is supported across Scotland in order to become a global leader in sustainable and regenerative agriculture.

Rural development and Forestry are key enablers to creating vibrant and resilient rural communities and as such are an integral part of a future Agriculture Bill.

Recent years have seen a series of events that are having an undeniable impact on global agriculture and upon all aspects of our domestic food and drink supply chain. This has highlighted the requirement for the new Agriculture Bill to be adaptive in supporting farmers, crofters, land managers and communities in the near, medium and long-term future.
