Scottish Rural Action have a number of volunteering opportunities available.

Scottish Rural Action (SRA) is a non-profit, apolitical organisation which is completely independent of Government. They are a company formed with the dual purpose of developing and organising Scotland’s Rural Parliament and supporting the development of a rural movement.

The organisation is currently seeking volunteers for a number of roles.

Campaign Volunteer - volunteers willing to promote the work of SRA by campaigning in their local area (or further afield). Campaigning could include attending events, distributing promotional material, speaking at events/schools/colleges etc., supporting the work of local network meetings and/or any other methods of promoting the key messages of SRA identified/agreed upon by the volunteer and SRA staff contact.

Network Coordinator Volunteer - the main purpose of this volunteer role is to co-ordinate locally based Network Meetings on behalf of SRA and raise the profile of SRA through a variety of methods.

Working Group member - Scottish Rural Action has a range of Working Groups that meet online to discuss the key issues and challenges in relation to the Working Group topic. Members are being sought for the current Working Groups:

  • Business and Enterprise Suport
  • Digital Connectivity
  • Land, Land Reform and Climate Change
  • Local Democracy and Governance
  • Transport
