About this event

This webinar will cover a brief run down on Work Permits, the rules for employing 14- and 15-year old workers, and those under 18 in full time education.

We will look at minimum age of employment, and employment standards that affect most young workers, and introduce Employment Rights, Safeguarding and Risk Assessments related to young people.

Young people are the future of volunteering yet they are the least included of all age groups in community businesses. This introductory webinar has been designed for groups not currently engaging with young people, or who might have concerns about responsibilities of working with young people .

We will explore not only a wide age range of what we consider to be ‘youth’ and what young people may be looking for in a volunteer opportunity, but help you understand whether this age group is appropriate as volunteers for your community business, as well as looking at how to adapt volunteer roles to be more appealing to young people.

There will be time at the end of the session for questions.

Funded by The Dulverton Trust.
