Launch event for new Moray resource for neurodivergent families

If you are a parent or carer of a young neurodivergent person, or are under 25 and neurodivergent, ICON Moray would like to invite you to explore their new web resource. You can do this anytime by visiting or join them in person at our launch event.

By booking here you let them know any preferences or support needs in advance. They can also let you know if the event has any changes, for example poor weather impacts. You are welcome to also drop-in, however those booking will have preference if the session becomes busy.

ICON Moray (Informing & Connecting Our Neurodivergent Families in Moray) was formed in 2022 through a working group of parents and professionals (including education, health, social care and 3rd sector) keen to make a difference for Moray’s young people.

Their launch event, Tuesday 22nd January 4-6pm at UHI Moray, will provide a supportive informal space for you to drop in and chat to one of the current ICON members about the website and our ideas for developing our network. Booking is not essential but can ensure you are kept updated of any changes, especially if you wish to chat to a specific ICON member, or to make us aware of specific support needs.

Peers from Moray Wellbeing Hub will host the session with fellow ICON members from Moray Autism Service, educational psychology, school nursing and The Paddock. We will have a small sensory and creative corner alongside a number of stations to have a chat with a cuppa and cake, whilst looking at the online resource.

For those keen to get more involved, ICON are keen to invite new members, especially from parents and carers. They will be developing their current support offer through their email address and flexible contribution of ideas and peer-supports.
