They give young people the opportunity to engage in farming, animal husbandry, land management and food cultivation, with goals tailored to their ability.
These include earning accredited SCQF qualifications in Rural Skills, Saltire Awards for Voluntary Service, and King’s Trust Awards with progress towards meaningful employment.
The charity makes a difference to the lives of their beneficiaries, welcoming people of all abilities, including additional needs, mental health issues, atistic spectrum disorders, social and emotional trauma, and learning challenges.
Fife Local Action Group (LAG) provided £16,000 of CLLD funding to Lucky Ewe to invest in fencing in order to secure their new site.
CLLD is a Scottish Government fund which gives rural and island communities the power to tackle their own, local challenges. By building knowledge and skills, supporting new ideas and encouraging cooperation, CLLD helps to create viable and resilient communities. Decisions about funding are made by 20 LAGs covering rural and island. These are made up of local people and organisations working to improve life in their communities.
