The Ecology Centre (Kinghorn, Fife) supports people and nature through environmental education, volunteering and training opportunities at their loch-based community-woodland site.

They received £17,542 of funding through the Scottish Government’s Rural & Island Communities Ideas into Action (RICIA) fund in 2022/23. This funding was delivered by Inspiring Scotland who supported the applicant through the application process and project delivery.

In this video case study, we hear from Lee Brown, Estate Operations Manager, and one of the project’s volunteers, Paul Bradbury, about the impact the project has had on the community-accessible woodland, and on the community volunteers who have led the activities.
