When communities across Scotland experience disruptions, whether major incidents or more localised challenges, they develop unique resources and strengths to get through.

This case study film features Caberfeidh Horizons who received a  Community Led Local Development (CLLD) grant of of £34,900 to improve their community building and provide support for people suffering fuel poverty.

CLLD is part of the Scottish Government’s Rural Development Programme, with funding allocated to 20 Local Action Groups covering rural and island Scotland. It gives local communities the power to tackle their own, local challenges. By building knowledge and skills, supporting new ideas and encouraging cooperation, CLLD helps to create viable and resilient communities.
