Carloway Estate Trust (Urras Oighreachd Chàrlabhaigh) is a community landowner on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides.
The estate covers 11,500 acres on the North West coast of the Isle of Lewis, with over 200 crofts spread across the townships of Knock, Kirivick, Doune Carloway, Tolsta Chaolais, Breasclete, Breasclete Park and Callanish.
The Trust received Community Led Local Development (CLLD) funding of £16,740 towards the cost of surveys and professional services for scoping their community wind project.
The group applied for funding through the Outer Hebrides Local Action Group (LAG), one of the twenty which distributes the Scottish Government CLLD fund across rural and island Scotland.
