With presentations from Mel MacIntyre, a business mentor, the event will help you understand how to create impact for your business, and how you get your story out to potential customers; Mel brings insights from her own experience of reaching burnout in her corporate career and we'll hear her inspiring story of recovery, rediscovery of her true passions and how she's built her successful business.

Open to all community groups involved in a community owned pub project, whether early stage or if your pub is already open and trading.

Join your fellow community pub groups across Scotland to network, swap ideas and support each other. Bring your challenges and concerns so we can all find answers together. Plunkett Foundation staff will be on hand to help answer your questions, along with partner organisations.

Business planning within the context of community led social enterprise has a range of wider factors to consider such as community involvement, sense of ‘place’, available assets and priority issues. Community led social enterprises can also vary considerably – for example from running a local hall with minimal turnover to managing a range of assets, from renewables to land.
