The Better Breaks programme provides grants to third sector and charitable organisations to develop and deliver short breaks and services for disabled children and young people (aged 20 and under), and their carers. 

The future role of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) as it adapts to meet new challenges is at the heart of a new consultation.

The overriding purpose of SFRS will remain the protection of communities, preventing fires and reducing their impact on society while maintaining the safety and mental wellbeing of staff.

Connecting Scotland is a Scottish Government programme set up to tackle digital exclusion during the coronavirus crisis.  

Phase three is now underway and aims to remove barriers related to digital exclusion for unemployed young people and adults (aged 16+). 

Funding of £10.83 million has been allocated for the remainder of this year to help improve access to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).

The investment will also increase the numbers of trained professionals to support children and young people with neurodevelopmental support needs.

First grants awarded from new £50 million fund.

More than £5 million from the new low carbon Vacant and Derelict Land Investment Programme, which aims to drive regeneration, enhance the environment and tackle climate change, will be shared among 10 schemes.
