Population retention and attraction underpins the viability of all our rural and island communities and in follow-up to the Scottish Island Federation (SIF) member session on the Addressing Depopulation Action Plan (ADAP) last year, SIF are delighted to welcome back Mike Andrews, Population Team Leader at the Scottish Government, to share an update on the progress of the Plan and some of the work being taken forward.
SIF is a network of island communities working together to have a stronger voice on common challenges, and to share ideas and innovation to accelerate change. The overarching aim of SIF is to promote, publicise and advance the interests of Scotland’s 93 inhabited islands.
