Bargany Estate, Rhododendron Control Methodologies and Woodland
Sharing of knowledge over a wide range of forestry and land-use topics including alternatives to Rhododendron ponticum and commercial forestry and how this fits into an agricultural estate.

Through a variety of different methods, Balgany Estate have managed to clear areas of the estate, and will talk members through how this has been done, how long it takes and how they have disposed of the branches. They are also trialling alternatives to Rhododendron ponticum.
Royal Scottish Forestry Society Members will have the opportunity to see the different types of woodland within the park and gardens at Bargany, and the owners will also discuss their commercial forestry and how this fits into an agricultural estate.

This is a joint event with Scottish Land & Estates. Registration details will be shared with the partner organisation solely for the administration of the event. Bookings will close on Friday 22nd May.

Attendees advised to be suitably dressed for the outdoors, There is some rough ground, and muddy patches in places, so please bring suitable footwear
