Join us for an evening exploring different funding models that can provide long-term support for community-led projects involving climate action and nature restoration. This is a chance to learn about alternatives to short-term, often restrictive grants that can make community-led development challenging.
We will also look at what kind of decision-making structures & models can be used to explore how to priories and allocate funding.
The evening will begin with inspiring talks by a panel of people who are exploring alternative models and/or have experience setting them up. This will be followed by an interactive workshop where participants can learn more about these models and explore how these approaches could work in their own communities.

Panellists
- Clare Cooper from Bioregioning Tayside who are developing a Bioregional Financing Facility, which will prioritise long-term resilience, ecological health and community agency
- Ed Heather Hayes from Fife Coast & Countryside Trust (more information to follow)
- Lee Dolby CEO at Linlithgow Community Development Trust will be talking through LinlithGo Solar project which harnessed the power of community bond to raise funds to install solar panel on the roof of several community buildings. These now provide cheaper energy for local clubs, and have developed a surplus that can be invested back to create community benefit.
