Elect Her are inviting women across Scotland to join free online workshops where they will provide all the information they need to help start a journey towards becoming a councillor.
Women will learn what councillors do, how to put themselves forward for selections, how to campaign, and what to expect in elected office.
Participants will hear directly from current councillors in Scotland about how they first got involved in politics and what their experience has been like since. There’s also an opportunity to meet a network of other women considering putting themselves forward in the 2027 Scottish local elections, because we’re stronger together.

Bailie Dr Soryia Siddique (Scottish Labour) is a representative of the Southside Central ward in Glasgow.
Councillor Laura Murtagh (Independent) is a representative of the Carse, Kinnaird and Tryst ward in Falkirk.
