Free online workshops for women interested in standing for election

Elect Her are inviting women across Scotland to join free online workshops where they will provide all the information they need to help start a journey towards becoming a councillor.
Women will learn what councillors do, how to put themselves forward for selections, how to campaign, and what to expect in elected office.
Participants will hear directly from current councillors in Scotland about how they first got involved in politics and what their experience has been like since. There’s also an opportunity to meet a network of other women considering putting themselves forward in the 2027 Scottish local elections, because we’re stronger together.

Councillor Sally Pattle (Scottish Liberal Democrats) is a representative of the Linlithgow ward in West Lothian.
Councillor Kirsten Robb (Scottish Greens) is a representative of the East Kilbride East ward in South Lanarkshire.
