Join Lanarkshire Climate Action Hub for an afternoon of sharing plants, recipe ideas, and progress stories from our Growing Biggar experiences!

Taking place at Black Mount Community Garden, during this event we will be swapping plants, sharing  favourite seasonal recipes and talk about experiences of growing the Biggar vegetable (broad beans)! It is also an opportunity to look around the community garden and see the Black Mount’s beautifully decorated seed library.

What to expect on the day:

This session is a celebration of community growing and eating seasonally.

  • Bring along extra plants to swap with others
  • Share your favourite seasonal recipes – from beetroot brownies to broad bean hummus!
  • Discuss your experience of food growing this year – the challenges and successes
  • Activities for children
