The communities along Scotland’s coasts face a unique set of challenges around climate change; this event will support discussion on those challenges and identify ways to take positive action.

Keep Scotland Beautiful, in partnership with The University of Stirling, invites you to a free, online workshop session designed for those living in and around Edinburgh and the Lothians and the wider the Forth River Basin area.

This interactive workshop will explore:

  • Climate emergency and climate change science​
  • The important role of coastal communities​
  • Climate change impacts and adaptation in coastal communities​
  • Mitigation – International policy and Net-zero Scotland​

Break (10 minutes)​

  • Carbon footprint and reducing emissions ​
  • Relevant case studies for coastal communities
  • Opportunities to discuss potential climate actions
