AGENDA

11am – Welcome and Introductions

11:05am – Scottish Government’s Land Use Strategy Consultation

The way we use and manage our land forms the foundation of life in Scotland. Alongside our water, seas and air, it contributes to our natural capital – the habitats and resources of the natural world that provide essential social, economic, and environmental benefits. This includes the food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe, the soil we cultivate, and the plants and wildlife we rely on. The value and potential of Scotland’s land assets have been highlighted by the government’s independent advisers on climate change, the UK Committee on Climate Change.

Land use can have a direct positive or negative impact on mental health and wellbeing, so it is vital that we hear your views on what the new Land Use Strategy should cover.

12 noon – Suicide Prevention – Jenny Ferguson, Children and Young People Delivery Lead at Suicide Prevention Scotland

Jenny will be sharing brand-new toolkit designed by Suicide Prevention Scotland and the V&A Design Unit in Dundee which supports parents, carers, trusted adults, and young people in having open and effective conversations about suicide.
