The Sustainable Scotland Network Conference returns on 17 June 2026 as one of Scotland’s leading annual public sector sustainability events.

Bringing together SSN members from across the public sector, alongside leaders, partners and stakeholders, the conference will take stock of Scotland’s climate action priorities, share challenges and solutions, and explore how to scale up impact in the year ahead.

The programme will feature sessions with senior public sector leaders, climate change mitigation and adaptation experts, SSN Steering Group members, practitioners, researchers and thought leaders.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Dr Andy Kerr, Director General Net Zero at the Scottish Government
  • Ken Gourlay, Chief Executive of Fife Council and SOLACE Scotland lead on climate change
  • Emma Pinchbeck, Chief Executive of the Climate Change Committee.
  • Professor Mike Berners-Lee of Lancaster University, author of A Climate of Truth and Chair of the National Emergency Briefing

The event will also feature representatives from the SSN Adaptation Subcommittee

The SSN Conference features a programme directly relevant to all leaders and professionals in the public sector. The programme will provide an update on policy priorities, set out our challenges and opportunities, and offer expert insight into how public bodies and partners can work better together to deliver change. Additionally, the conference will profile SSN’s refreshed programme and set out opportunities for participation and collaboration in the year ahead.
