The National Lottery Community Fund | Developing Sustainability for Grantholders

Peer Learning Grant holder Support Programme

Date and time: to

Location: Online & The Circle CIC, Dudhope Castle, Barrack Street, DUNDEE

Organisation: Social Enterprise Academy

The National Lottery Community Fund provides grants to hundreds of organisations across Scotland and is now extending its support through the Developing Sustainability Programme, delivered by the Social Enterprise Academy.

Organisations that have received National Lottery Community Fund funding are warmly invited to take part in this fully funded programme. Participants will join representatives from up to eight other Lottery-funded organisations to explore how their organisation can become more sustainable in every sense. The programme provides opportunities to share experiences, develop new ideas, and build connections with others facing similar opportunities and challenges.

Recognising the significant pressures facing organisations today, including rising costs, limited funding, the climate and nature crisis, and increasing community needs, the programme is designed to help organisations identify new ways to strengthen their sustainability and resilience. Participants will explore approaches to increasing income, delivering greater community impact, and advancing environmental and nature-based objectives.

Working alongside peers from social enterprises, development trusts, community land trusts, charities, and other place-based organisations, participants will be introduced to design thinking tools and approaches to help shape a future vision for their organisation and identify new pathways for growth and development.

The programme includes dedicated time for participants to connect with others leading similar organisations and projects. Throughout the course, they will have the opportunity to work on their own ideas and challenges in a supportive learning environment. By the end of the programme, participants will leave with fresh ideas, stronger networks, renewed energy, and practical approaches to addressing both current challenges and future opportunities. They will also be better equipped to support enterprise development within their communities and improve their ability to access a wider range of funding and income opportunities.

Who is it for?

This programme is open to staff members and board members of organisations funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. It is specifically aimed at organisations with an environmental purpose or those delivering projects that provide environmental benefits.

Organisations are invited to submit a Registration of Interest and indicate which learning formats are of interest to them.
