Are you passionate about the sea and want to start taking action to protect it? Join Young Sea Changers Scotland to learn more about the threats facing our ocean and how you can get involved in standing up for our seas.
This event will kick off with a whistlestop tour of Scotland’s seas – from the deep ocean to the coastal ecosystems and seabirds that call our unique marine habitats home. We’ll talk through how our marine environment is currently faring and what threats it’s facing.
The YSCS team will then walk you through ‘Turning the Tide‘ – the flagship marine advocacy training programme, exclusively for 16–25 year olds living in Scotland – sharing what to expect. Learn about how to apply, the course goals, structure, and how it can help you build your skills to speak up for our seas.
Who Should Attend?
This event is designed for young people, aged 16-25 and living in Scotland, who are passionate about the marine environment, interested in learning about marine advocacy, or looking to make a difference in ocean conservation. If you’ve heard of Turning the Tide but are not sure what to expect or whether it would suit you, this is your opportunity to ask questions and find out more.
