The Living Wage Awards recognise employers making a real difference across Scotland.
Employers across Scotland are being encouraged to showcase their commitment to fair pay and good work practices through the Living Wage Scotland Awards, which celebrate organisations and individuals making an outstanding contribution to the Living Wage movement.
For rural businesses, community organisations, social enterprises, farms, crofts and employers serving Scotland’s rural and island communities, the awards offer an opportunity to highlight how fair work can help strengthen local economies, support employees and build resilient communities. At a time when many rural and island employers face challenges around recruitment and retention, accreditation as a Living Wage Employer can demonstrate a commitment to valuing and supporting staff.
The awards recognise employers who go beyond simply meeting accreditation standards. Categories celebrate organisations that actively promote the real Living Wage, champion Living Hours and Living Pension commitments, provide inspiring leadership, and encourage others to join the movement. Employees can also nominate their own workplace for recognition through the Employee Choice Award.
Living Wage Scotland says the awards are designed to recognise achievements while shining a spotlight on the positive impact that fair pay can have on workers, businesses and communities. Employers who have used their accreditation to lead by example, support their workforce and inspire change across their sector are encouraged to put themselves forward.
For many rural and island employers, investing in fair work practices can help create stable jobs and support sustainable local development. The awards provide a platform to share success stories and demonstrate how businesses of all sizes can contribute to a fairer Scotland.
Applications are invited across seven award categories, with organisers encouraging accredited employers to review the criteria and submit their strongest examples of how they have supported the Living Wage movement. Winners will be celebrated at a special awards event recognising the people and organisations helping to drive fair pay and fair work across Scotland.
