Community groups across Dumfries and Galloway are being encouraged to apply for the latest round of the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund for Adults, with more than £146,000 available to support projects that help improve mental health and wellbeing in local communities.

Delivered by Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway (TSDG), the sixth round of the fund will distribute Scottish Government support to grass-roots organisations working to promote positive mental health, reduce social isolation and loneliness, prevent suicide, and address the impacts of poverty and inequality.

This year, £146,240.96 is available for new one-year projects, with grants of up to £10,000 each. Funding is aimed at community-based initiatives supporting adults aged 16 and over, particularly those who may be experiencing socio-economic disadvantage, long-term health conditions, disabilities, isolation, or other factors that can affect wellbeing.

The fund is open to a range of small third sector organisations, including charities, SCIOs, constituted community groups, community councils and community interest companies already based in or delivering services in Dumfries and Galloway. Eligible organisations must have an annual income of no more than £1 million.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to read the full guidance and view the webinar provided by TSDG before applying, as these resources explain the eligibility criteria, funding priorities and application requirements in detail.
