Creative Scotland is encouraging individuals, community groups, charities, creative practitioners and organisations across Scotland to explore a range of funding opportunities that could help deliver new cultural activity, strengthen local organisations and support creative careers in rural and island areas.
Through its funding programmes, Creative Scotland provides support for a wide variety of arts, screen and creative industry activities. Funding is available to individuals, groups and organisations, helping communities develop projects, create new work, build skills and increase access to cultural experiences.
One of the key routes is Open Fund, which supports activity initiated by artists, writers, producers, creative practitioners and organisations. The flexible nature of the fund means it can be particularly relevant for rural and island communities looking to develop locally-led projects, pilot new ideas or bring cultural activity to areas where opportunities can be more limited by geography.
Creative Scotland also offers Multi-Year Funding, designed to provide longer-term stability for creative and cultural organisations.
