GlenWyvis Distillery Opens 2026 Environmental Fund

GlenWyvis Environmental Fund in collaboration with SEPA - Applications now invited for community projects across Ross‑shire

GlenWyvis Distillery, working in partnership with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, has opened its annual Environmental Fund for 2026, offering grants of up to £2,500 to support community‑led environmental improvement.

Applications opened on Wednesday 8 April, and will close at 12pm on Wednesday 20 May. The fund is open to projects based in Dingwall (IV15), Muir of Ord (IV6), Conon Bridge & Ferintosh (IV7), Strathpeffer and Contin (IV14), and Evanton (IV16). Eligible initiatives include the reclamation, restoration or improvement of land for social or environmental benefit, community‑based recycling or waste‑prevention schemes, enhancements to public parks or amenities, and projects that conserve or promote biodiversity.

The fund has a strong track record of supporting practical, community‑driven environmental action. Last year’s recipients included Evanton Community Trust, which received £2,500 to create an environmental community space and edible garden; Culbokie Community Trust, awarded £1,260 to enhance the ecology and amenity of Culbokie Green; and Maryburgh Community Woodland Group, which used its £1,240 grant to train volunteers and purchase equipment to manage local woodland and tackle invasive species. These projects were selected from a competitive field of 13 applications and demonstrate the range of positive local impact the fund aims to encourage.

Community groups with ideas to improve their local environment are encouraged to apply. Further details and the application form are available HERE.
