Have your say on the future of agricultural tenancy data in Scotland

Are you holding an agricultural tenancy in Scotland? Fill in the survey by Tuesday 21 October!

The Scottish Government has asked Alma Economics, together with the James Hutton Institute, to explore how agricultural tenancy data should be collected.

Recent workshops invited members of the public to capture viewpoints and  insights that will help to develop two different approaches to asking tenancy questions.

Alma Economics is now testing these in a short survey and would appreciate your feedback. Views and completed surveys will directly inform the recommendations provided to the Scottish Government.

Survey details:

  • open to anyone holding an agricultural tenancy in Scotland
  • takes around 15 minutes to complete
  • the deadline is 11:59pm on Tuesday 21 October 2025

All responses will be treated confidentially and anonymised in the research report. Read privacy notice for more information about the survey and how your data will be used.

If you have any questions or concerns about the survey, please email tenancycensus@almaeconomics.com or call +44 (0)20 8133 3192.
