Island Resilience Fund 2026–27 Online Sessions Open for Registration

Free online sessions are now available for island businesses, and community organisations to learn about the Island Resilience Fund 2026–27 and share experiences of ferry-related disruption to help shape future support for Scotland’s islands

The Scottish Government’s Islands Team has announced a series of free online engagement sessions to support the development of the Island Resilience Fund 2026–27.

The sessions will provide an opportunity for island businesses and community organisations to help shape future support by sharing their experiences and insights.

As part of ongoing work to strengthen the resilience of Scotland’s island communities, the Islands Team is gathering updated evidence on the impact of ferry-related disruption on island businesses and local economies. The information collected through these sessions will help inform future policy development and funding support aimed at addressing the unique challenges faced by island communities.

Participants are invited to attend one or more of the four online sessions scheduled throughout July. The events will offer a platform for attendees to discuss the practical effects of transport disruption, highlight emerging challenges and opportunities, and contribute directly to conversations around how future funding can best support island resilience.

The sessions are free to attend and are expected to be of particular interest to island-based businesses, community groups, social enterprises and development organisations seeking to ensure that the needs and experiences of their communities are reflected in future funding programmes.

Session Dates

  • 16 July 2026 – Online Session 1
  • 21 July 2026 – Online Session 2
  • 22 July 2026 – Online Session 3
