Scottish Rural Leadership Programme opens new opportunities for rural and island leaders - a transformational programme empowering rural business leaders to innovate, collaborate and shape Scotland’s future.
Ambitious leaders from across rural Scotland are being encouraged to take part in the Scottish Rural Leadership Programme (SRLP), a unique leadership development experience designed to build confidence, inspire innovation and strengthen the future of Scotland’s rural economy.
Delivered by Elevator on behalf of Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and South of Scotland Enterprise, with support from the Scottish Government, the programme offers rural business owners and senior leaders the opportunity to step back from the demands of day-to-day operations and focus on their personal and professional development.
The six-month programme is designed as a connected leadership journey rather than a series of standalone workshops. Through residential learning experiences, coaching, facilitated discussions and peer collaboration, participants are challenged to think differently, broaden their perspectives and explore new approaches to leadership, innovation and business growth.
SRLP aims to help leaders develop the confidence, capability and influence needed to drive transformational change within their organisations, communities and the wider rural economy. Participants are encouraged to embrace entrepreneurial thinking, challenge assumptions and identify new opportunities for growth and development.
A key feature of the programme is the opportunity to connect with a diverse network of rural leaders from across Scotland. Participants join a supportive community that shares knowledge, experiences and ideas, creating lasting relationships that continue beyond the programme itself.
Graduates become part of one of Scotland’s most established rural leadership networks, joining more than 1,000 alumni who continue to collaborate, support one another and champion the future of rural Scotland.
