Making sure they are well run and maintained is an important but not always easy role, often fulfilled by committed volunteers and workers.
To support community groups, a practical Learning Exchange for people involved in running village halls and community spaces across Argyll & Bute is being delivered in partnership by Social Enterprise Scotland, InspirAlba, Scottish Rural Action and the Scottish National Rural Network.
The day will explore a range of topics, including:
➡️Youth participation – practical ways to involve more young people in shaping and running community spaces.
➡️Health & wellbeing – how community spaces tackle loneliness and isolation, supporting wellbeing and building community resilience.
➡️Peer learning & shared solutions – hear from community speakers, then take part in an interactive Open Host session shaped by the issues that matter to you.
The event will also explore the potential for a new Argyll & Bute Village Halls Network to strengthen ongoing peer support and learning.
Places are limited and prioritised for village halls and community spaces in Argyll & Bute. Lunch and refreshments provided. Travel bursaries are available, with accommodation support on a needs basis.
