Disabled people living in Scotland’s island, rural and remote communities are invited to share their experiences of using public transport at a series of upcoming consultation events.

These sessions are a valuable opportunity to influence future transport planning and ensure that services better meet the needs of disabled passengers.

The events are being delivered by Disability Equality Scotland, in partnership with Transport Scotland, as part of the development of the next Accessible Travel Framework. Your insights will help shape policies aimed at improving accessibility, reliability and inclusion across Scotland’s transport network.

Why Your Voice Matters

For many disabled people, access to transport can be a key barrier to employment, healthcare, education and social connection – particularly in rural and island areas where options may be limited. By taking part in these discussions, you will help highlight what works well and what needs to change, ensuring that future solutions are informed by lived experience.
