Join the Integrating Trees Network and Richard Lockett at the award winning Knockbain Farm to see and discuss the benefits of riparian woodlands. This visit will also be an opportunity to visit the nearby River Peffery Re-Meandering Project where riverside trees have recently been planted.

They will look at and discuss well designed riparian planting and how it can play a key role in, reducing peak flows and diffuse pollution and improve water quality, as well as providing environmental and multiple other benefits. It will exploret how best to design your planting, shape, scale, location, spacing, tree type, and cultivation methods to meet your objectives.

Staff from Scottish Forestry will also  attending to discuss funding and first steps to woodland creation.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
