A consultation seeking the views of people from across Scotland on the proposed Islands Bond has been published.
The Islands Bond aims to tackle population decline across the Scottish islands and provide funding to help people stay on or move to the islands.

On 23 July, the Scottish Government published the consultation Scottish Building Regulations: Proposed changes to Energy Standards and associated topics, including Ventilation, Overheating and Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure.
Grants to improve housing or build new homes in some of Scotland’s most remote and marginal communities have been awarded to 13 crofters.
The Croft House Grants scheme aims to retain and attract people to rural and remote communities with the latest round of funding awarding grants worth £433,072.

Consultation on the details of a licensing scheme for short term lets to take place this summer.
Social Justice Secretary Shona Robison has announced the publication of a draft licensing order for consultation, ahead of laying the final legislation at the Scottish Parliament in September.
Stakeholders have until 13 August to comment on the licensing order and the draft business and regulatory impact assessment.
