Starting at Macbeth’s Butchers which is a family run business that provides high quality meat products throughout the UK.

In the main, the beef is provided from their own farm, Edinvale, in upland Moray where they rear traditional Scottish native breeds. These are reared in as an extensive, natural environment as possible being fed grass, home grown hay or silage and no growth promoters. Macbeth's also supply a full range of pork and lamb from local farms with a similar philosophy. Macbeth's venison and game is also sourced locally.

Later Fearn Farm will cover the topic of selling meat boxes and Carolyn Wilson from Dalmore Farm Shop who has 35 years of retail experience will speak about her experience of farm retail.

Tickets are limited for this event and to two people per business.

09.30 am registration, tea and coffee – starts 10am.

Please note that lunch is not provided - soup will be provided by us but delegates must bring their own packed lunch to supplement.

10.00 to 10.30 am Delegates meet at MacBeths in Forres for a look around.

10.30 am to 11 am Leave to travel to Edinvale.

11am to 12 pm Farm walk/tour.

12 pm Dallas Hall – Lunch.

1 pm Farm Retail Workshop – We will hear from Joack and Fiona Gibson of Macbeth's Butchery on retail advice, pitfalls, positives/negatives. Fearn Farm will cover the topic of selling meat boxes, how it works/can be increased, is it worth while, benefits/costs and Carolyn Wilson from Dalmore Farm Shop will speak about her experience of farm retail as has extensive knowledge from previous businesses as well as setitng up Dalmore.
