Creation of a formal capacity-building, experience-sharing, mutually-supportive and collaboration-catalysing network for graziers of common and communal land and their organisations from across Europe.
The Scottish Rural Network supported seven LEADER representatives from Scotland to attend the LINC Conference from the 27 to 29 September 2016 in Dabas, Hungary.
The theme of the event was "pARTicipation" and the promotion of transnational cooperation. The event brought together Local Action Groups (LAGs) from across Europe to share knowledge and experiences.
In this event report, Don Morrison from the Scottish Rural Network Support Unit reports on the recent cooperation event in Estonia, and Kim Ritchie from Angus LEADER tells us about the Local Action Group tour she took part in as part of the event.
The recent Transnational Cooperation (TNC) Fair held in Estonia was attended by a number of Scottish representatives including delegates from Angus and Cairngorms LEADER as well as Don Morrison and Alistair Prior from the Scottish Rural Network.
The deadline for applications for the current funding round of the Food Processing, Marketing and Cooperation scheme is 25 September 2016.

Angus LEADER delegates Kim Ritchie and Graham Galloway reported enthusiastically on returning from the Estonia Transnational Cooperation Fair.
Cooperation is about working on a project with organisations or groups in different areas. When a project involves partners in more than one country it is called a transnational cooperation TNC) project.
The LEADER Transnational Cooperation Fair took place in Estonia from 24-26 August 2016.

The installation of an artificial bowling green and a community hall refurbishment are the first two projects to benefit from funding from the Orkney LEADER 2014-2020 Programme.
The Kirkwall Bowling Club will install an artificial outdoor bowling green which will allow assurances of play irrespective of the weather, extending the playing season and increasing the opportunity for members and non-members to use the facility.
